Gentle dentists for nervous patients in London (SE1)

Our London practice has several dental specialists, two of whom are oral surgeons certified in the safe administration of sedation, which helps ease the minds of our anxious and phobic patients.

As talented dentists dedicated to nervous and sedation dentistry we know all too well how some patient’s fear of the dentist is often triggered by sounds, smells and sterile environments. For others, it’s the loss of control and even fear of pain.

With this in mind, we’ve implemented certain techniques and methods to make even our most nervous patients comfortable. Our practice has been set up to accommodate those who often hate the dentist so they don’t have to avoid certain procedures to sustain their oral health.

IV SEDATION

IV sedation puts patients in a relaxed state and often results in no memory of the procedure. More.

ORAL SEDATION

Are you not keen on intravenous sedation? Explore oral sedation that is administered in pill form. More.

How we manage dental anxiety

If needles, drills, and other equipment scare you, or you’re anticipating painful or uncomfortable treatment, we can certainly help.

Our goal at Mint Dental is to ensure each of our patients feel at ease with their prescribed treatment solutions – what matters to our patients, matters to us. That’s why we’ve built a strong team of kind oral specialists, who work round-the-clock with nervous patients day in and day out.

There are several routes we can take to help you manage your fear of the dentist and even control your pain management. One such solution is with IV (intravenous) sedation, which is a form of conscious sedation that will leave with you little to no memory of your treatment. Another conscious sedation solution we can rely on is with oral sedation, where patients can take a sedative in a pill form.

Non-sedated solutions

For patients not wishing to undergo safe sedation, we have implemented common practices that are designed to improve the visitor’s experience and rapport so they do not find their first appointment too stressful.

We know initially nervous patients might find the presence of equipment stressful, which is why we can set up free pre-appointments in comfortable spaces with treatment coordinators who can introduce you to the practice, walk you through your worries and explain your treatment in full.

Our clinicians also use music whether played out loud or in headphones to ease the experience.

How the dentist will put you at ease

The atmosphere inside any dental practice is as much about the environment as the people.

Our treatment rooms and waiting areas are quiet, relaxed, calm, and comfortable.

Our dental practitioners are highly experienced in dealing with nervous patients and are on hand to discuss your anxieties with compassion and understanding.

You can discuss treatment in detail with your dentist before your appointment, and we can help you work through your fears at your own pace.

You are in safe hands at Mint Dental Clinic. Our team is highly trained, professional, caring, and always ready to greet you with a friendly smile.

We strive to make every aspect of treatment as quick and stress-free as possible.

Single implants

Have you lost a tooth due to problems like gum disease or extensive tooth decay leading to tooth extraction? Or perhaps a tooth has been knocked out in a sporting injury or accident? Single implants act as natural tooth roots and are used as an alternative to flippers and partial dentures. More.
