Fast, simple & easy process

The veneer procedure is not always what it’s perceived to be. With minimal fuss, discomfort or preparation, dental veneers can be bonded very quickly and easily under the experienced care of a cosmetic dentist and artist. If you’re worried about how your veneers might look, don’t worry.

You’ll get a chance to preview how they look with a trial smile before they’re officially bonded so we can make any last-minute changes or amendments.

Start the process

To kickstart the process, you can organise a consultation free of charge, or paid-for with a dentist if you’re more serious and ready.

No shaving/drilling

Some types of veneers and brands like Ultrathin often require no shaving or drilling to place, keeping underlying teeth safe and healthy.

Maintenance

Porcelain is stain-resistant and tough. Composites require caution as they’re easier to chip and stain.

Aftercare

Veneers are easy to maintain and care for, requiring the same oral hygiene routine as natural teeth.

Procedure steps

The veneer procedure is commonly split into three stages.

The first stage and initial appointment is your consultation, where we will discuss your treatment needs, goals and budget.

Consider this appointment your opportunity to learn more about the types of veneers and which kind will work best for your goals.

Treatment planning, impressions and tooth preparation

You’ll begin with a veneer consultation, with one of our incredible cosmetic dentists.

During this appointment, we’ll discuss the aesthetics you want to achieve, explore the brands and types of veneers and begin to form a treatment plan that falls in line with your budget. We’ll also conduct a check-up to assess your oral health and ensure you’re a great candidate from the procedure.

Given that everything checks out good, we’ll take impressions and x-rays of your bite and teeth, which will be sent to the lab to custom make your veneers.

However, before this happens, the beauty of working with our cosmetic dentists means that you get to see their talent in action. We will hand design your and approve with you before having your veneers fabricated.

During your second appointment, the dentist will begin to prepare the teeth by removing a very thin layer of enamel from the tooth’s front surface. However, this stage is often avoidable with particular brands like Lumineers, Ultratin, Durathin and Emax.

In regular veneer procedures, the amount of enamel removed is minimal and is mostly equivalent to the thickness of the veneer being bonded.

Placement and bonding

Once your permanent set of veneers are ready, you’ll be invited back in for your veneers to be bonded.

If you’re wearing temporary veneers, we’ll remove them and clean the teeth, confirming the fit and appearance of the permanent set before bonding them into place.

From here, we’ll adjust the veneers until we achieve perfection, ensuring the right alignment, bite and aesthetics.

The veneers are bonded to teeth using a special adhesive. A curing light is then used to activate the adhesive and ensure a strong bond between the veneer and the tooth’s surface.

Once they’re bonded, the veneers will be polished to achieve a smooth and natural-look.

Following this appointment, no follow up will be required and you’ll be ready to go and enjoy your new smile.
